Benedicte Marie Patruno was born and raised outside of Grenoble, France, and is fluent in French and English, with a working knowledge of Spanish. She completed her high school education obtaining her Baccalaureate at the Lycée International Stendhal in Grenoble.
Ms. Patruno later relocated to Austin, Texas with her family. There, she obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree with honors in Government from the University of Texas at Austin.
Following the completion of her undergraduate studies, Ms. Patruno went on to earn both a Juris Doctor, as well as a Master of Laws in Real Property Development, from the University of Miami School of Law, in Coral Gables, Florida.
During law school and after completing her legal education, Ms. Patruno worked for a Miami-based immigration firm, where she gained significant experience working on various aspects of immigration and naturalization law. Among others, her tasks included a significant contribution to appellate work before the Board of Immigration Appeals as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Judicial Circuit.
Ms. Patruno also gained experience in the field of real estate law while interning with a multi-national law firm's real estate department in Miami, Florida during her Master of Laws in Real Property Development.
